Bob is a car crazy, hot rodder, gear-head from way back (like before cars had comupters).  Since before he got his license he has always had some sort of high performance, modified car- usually Corvettes.  Most of his racing experience in the 70's was of the late-night and illegal street variety.  When sanity and respectability hit he took up auto crossing with the local Corvette clubs.  For a period, Bob concentrated on the show circut winning no less than second with his '63 Split Window coupe Vette.  Now he waits patiently for a free weekend so he can play with his own cars.  The current stable of Corvettes includes a 1963 "split-window" coupe, 1970 coupe with a built 454 and 4 speed, and a 1996 limited edition Grand sport Coupe.
Bob is president of Wayne Steel Company Inc, a multi-facetted industrial supply company.  His office is located at the Souther Tool Distribution Div. facility in Atlanta, Ga.  According to Bob, "Collecting lots of really neat gizmos to work with is a great benifit of being in the tool business."
