Updates from the Road:
MARCH 13 -- After that we went west towards Flagstaff, which was our first stop where we didn't know for sure where we would run.  Everything worked out fine, but again we were behind schedule and apparently missed Wejo and Rojo because we didn't get their e-mail soon enough!  After we left there at 3:00 a.m., we drove to California where we didn't even know what city  we would run in.  We ended up in Needles and ran on the Needles H.S. track with a beautiful sunrise in the east and mountains in the west.  Except for the dried dirt track it was perfect!  Then things started to get interesting.  We got lost trying to get to Vegas and ended up going on a pass.  The check engine light came on again and we pulled over to the side.  We added some coolant in the next town and took off again for Vegas, baby!  Vegas!  Unfortunately about 10 miles later we lost all voltage in the battery and had to stop in Searchlight, NV.  There the nice people at Gentry's auto and RV repair (I highly recommend breaking down in Searchlight, NV) told us we needed a new battery and a new alternator.  So, about five hours and five hundred dollars later we were back on the road and finally made it to Vegas six hours after we planned.  So, right now we're in the UNLV library and the next stop in In and Out Burger (this one's for you, K).  We're skipping our scheduled sleeping stop in Salt Lake and pushing on to Spokane before a big stop.  Well, time to hit the road again, we'll write when we reach Spokane!
