Thanks for looking at our Radio page . We've been talking with friends & family on the C.B. radio in our area for over 12 years now , but I started further back than my Wife did ... back in the late 70's early 80's, when I was around the age of 13 and talking on my Mom and Dads "ARF-2001" C.B. Base station . Back then I called myself the "Dirt Bike Kid" ( that was cool for a 13 year old boy back then :oP ) ... LoL ... Anyway , after I got married , my wife and I got on the C.B. and I changed my handle to Raccoon and she called herself Sprite and we've enjoyed many years on the airwaves since . Even though I've made alot of new friends over the years , the old days had alot going on for the C.B. radio. I remember those old nights of sandbagging . I really enjoy being on the radio , but I truely like the Sideband half of the radio , in fact on 2-28-97 I joined a local Sideband Radio club that called itself "11 Echo Charlie" . My numbers are "11 Echo Charlie 1227" ... if there are any old 11 Echo Charlie members reading this send me an e-mail and we'll chat about the "11 Echo Charlie"days . I Love shooting skip around the world , there are Amateur Operators (a.k.a. Ham Operators) that can't say they've talked to some of the places I have .
Anyway , we hope you like this site and keep an ear out for "227 South Central N.Y." the next time you're talking to DX Land .
There's also a new Sideband Club in my area that was founded by myself that's called "Delta Bravo 12" , click on a few of thier links and check them out while you're here . |
