My Snake, Rudy
Rudy is an Eastern Garter snake, a species wide spread here in Wisconsin.   A friend caught me one in their yard, just before he got chopped up by a lawn mower, and gave him to me.  I had wanted a pet snake for some time, and had gotten all of the supplies ready.  We dropped him into his cage, and he hid under his water dish for about a week.  He would not eat or even bask in the "sun" (a heat lamp I use).  Finaly he came out, and I gave him his first worm.  I highly recomend a garter snake for a pet.  Learn more in my
"Snake Care Pages" section.  Enjoy these pictures of Rudy and his habitat.
