I earned my B.E (2000) in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India and M.Tech (2002) in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Production Engineering from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. During Masters I worked on Finite element modelling of butt-weld joints under guidance of Prof. N.K.Samria and Dr. S.P.Tiwari. I did my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering specialization solid mechanics and design from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. In my doctoral I worked on the damping behaviour of polymer matrix composites, under the supervision of Dr. Sumit Basu and Dr. Bishakh Bhattacharya.
