Rabindranath Tagore won nobel Prize in Literature in 1913 and Rabindranath was the firt Indian to won Nobel Prize.

British crowned rabindranath Tagore with Knight Title in 1915,but after the incident at Jallianwala Bagh,Rabindranath Tagore refused to keep knight Title,further at 1919 to protest the terror.

In 1930 the paintings of Rabindranath Tagore was exibited in Paris and London.

Later in 1930 Rabindranath Tagore wrote Oxford during his story at Birmingham.

Rabindranath Tagore was the co-fuunder of dartington hall School in Japan. Indian Postage Department Showed their tribute to Rabindranath Thakur on 7th May 1961 when a stamp released in the name of Rabindranath Tagore.

Indian Government,West Bengal government and many Private Firms showed respect to Rabindranath Tagore by opening Institution,health Centers,and many Seva Center world wide in the name of Rabindranath Tagore.

In 1921 established Viswabharati University; two songs from Rabindrasangit canon are now the national anthems of India and Bangladesh :the "Jana Gana Mana" and the "Amar Shonar Bangla".

In 1874,Tagore poem Abhilaash was published anonymously in a magazine called Tattobodhini.His first book of poem,Kabi-Kahini was published in 1878.In 1880 he started his career as poet and writer.

He established Bolpur Bramhacharyaasharam at Santiniketan, a school based on the pattern of old Indian Ashrama. In 1905,Lord Curzon decided io divide Bengle into two parts rabindranath Tagore strongly protested against this decision.Tagore wrote a number of national songs and attended protest meetings.He introduced the Rakhsabandhan ceremony symbolizeing the underlying unity of undivided Bengal.

Tagore had a good grasp of modern-post-newtonian-physics,and was well able to hold his own in a debate with Einstein in 1930 on the newly emerging principles of quantum mechanics and chaos.His meetings and tape recorded conversations with his contemporaries such Albert Einstein and H.G Wells epitomize his brillance.

In 1940 Oxford University arranged a special ceremony in santiniketan and awarded Rabindranath Tagore with Doctorate of Literature.
