| My dad, my brother James, and I drove down to Cincinnati from Chicago to catch the 2002 Cubs. Same old Cubs. They lost 3-1, with the only excitement coming off a Sammy Sosa solo blast to right field (swing pictured below). Compared to some of the other stadiums I've been to, Cinergy didn't seem that bad, but they bulldozed it anyway. The Reds now play in "Great American Ballpark" and I had to make the drive all over again to see it. |
Cincinnati is a decent town. The ballpark is a convenient walk from downtown restaurants, and parking's cheap. Even if you don't speak 'Kentucky-Good-Ole-Boy' you can usually understand what people are saying. |
