| Historical Fenway Park Home of the Boston Red Sox Est. 1912 |
After years of listening to the baseball romantics gush about Fenway, I was a little scared that it would indeed surpass Wrigley. It does not, really- how could it? Fenway is amazing though. There is an aspect of time-travel when you sit down the first base line and stare out over the rickety, old gem of a ballpark. Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Bill Buckner, etc. Certainly a lot of history. Cubs fans and Red Sox fans seem to have a lot of affinity for one another by way of mutual suckage. It will probably remain that way until the Sox manage to win. Then they'll be just another bunch of East Coast pole-yanks. |
