cauldron: probably the most identifiable with the popular image of a witch. The cauldron is used to hold water, represents the masculine energy, and can even be used for scrying.
Athame or knife: the athame is used to cast circles, or used in place of a sword or wand. Remember that the athame is NEVER to be used for cutting.
Wand: the wand is used for casting circles, calling deities, or for consecrations.
Broom: The broom was onced used as a dancing pole, disguised as a household besom for security reasons. It is now used to clean your magical or working area for any harm, or negative energies.
chalice: the chalice aka goblet, is used to hold water or wine in your magical purposes. It represents feminine power, and remember to never use pewter or brass, when mixed with wine it gives off a dangerous chemical reaction, so unless its inlayed, dont use brass or pewter.
Pentacle: the pentacle is used in magic to bless or used in consecration rites.
censer: the censer or incense burner is used for lighting incense in your magic. It represents air, one of the four elements.
Bell: used for calling upon the goddess in your rites.
Mortar and pestle: used for crushing your herbs and making oils.
