BenchTop K-Mart Based on a visit to a local K-Mart on 3/2/2009, I was told that K-Mart does not
honor the Benchtop tool warranty, and advised me to call an "800" number. I did
not see any Benchtop tools of any kind in the store. Some Craftsman tools in stock.
I was not given a specific 800 number to call. See Note B

"A" I have personally had a tool replaced at this outlet.
"B" I have tried and was UNSUCESSFULL in replacing a tool.
Caveat Emptor: Some outlets require the original sales receipt for warranty service.
This in my opinion makes any warranty adjustment unlikely. Who keeps receipts for
a tool for any length of time ?
Crew Line Appear not be sold by Kragen/Checker/Schucks anymore. They do carry a 1 year warranty

I appreciate manufacturers that stand behind their products, and I will buy more tools from those manufacturers. I choose NOT to buy tools that do not have a full lifetime warranty. My opinion is that if you buy a quality tool once, you should not have to buy it again. Using a worn or broken tool is dangerous and foolish.
