Peel to Point of Ayre
Day 3 began with the short journey from douglas to Peel. he weather was good and sunny, and being a Sunday more people were around. We followed the path out of Peel in the early morning sunshine, eventually picking up the railway track. This had recently had work done on the drainage system, which had left the path in a muddy state in places. At last the long beach section was reached, and we were lucky in that it was not high tide. After some awkward stony walking we took the opportunity to move to the dunes area when the cliffs had disappeared. This gave way to the fascinating heathland area as the Point of Ayre drew nearer.
