The Irregulars group of the Long Distance Walkers Association was set up by Rod Heywood at the beginning of the F & M outbreak in the UK in 2001.
Short break trips are held from time to time, usually with a walking theme. A visit to the Isle of Man was set up for 6 Feb 03, with the aim of walking the coastal path on the island, a distance of 95 miles. We met at Heysham ready for the 2.15 pm ferry to Douglas.
