I Used To Be An Alcoholic!!

Now, don't that just knock your socks off! Here you are finally past denial, ready to admit that you are powerless over your drug of choice; they have told you that there is no known cure, that it's a terminal disease, and your only hope is to keep going to those 12 step meetings. And then some turkey like me comes along and tells you that he's not addicted anymore, that he's been set free! Don't that just beat all you ever seen or heard? Well, calm down, I'm not going to try to change your beliefs or discredit the fine job those 12 step programs are doing, they sure saved my life. No, I'm going to show you how the LORD took me beyond the programs into HIS plan, that involves being set free from all forms of bondage and addictions. Whether it is dugs, alcohol, gambling, sex, ice cream, money, whatever is more important to you than a right standing with GOD, (my true "Higher Power").

In the meanwhile, I have recorded an audio cassette tape of "my story" using the format of 12 step programs. It consists of an opening oratory, then one worldly (drinking song) that accurately describes what I was like in my addiction, what happened, and several songs that accurately describe my life and walk, now that I am a "CHILD of the LIVING GOD!". Also on the reverse side is a documentary oratory of the orchestration of how the LORD divinely delivered me from 44 yrs of cigarette smoking. (see free from tobacco).
No, I'm not perfected yet, but, I've been there, done that, and wore out several tee-shirts. Then the WORD of GOD and the HOLY SPIRIT convicted me and when I repented (turned from that life style, to a more "CHRIST LIKE LIFE"), the LORD was faithful to forgive me and my sins (lawless deeds) were cast into the sea of forgetfulness and remembered no more. The only ones who remember them are myself and those I've hurt, and the devil. and he won't let me forget if I listen to his vile tauntings.
I want to help those who can benefit from my experience strength and hope. And my "BLESSED HOPE" is JESUS!
