Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle


Tsubasa Chronicle is a new anime for me but I think it's very cool... It involves a young couple of the names Syaoran and Sakura (sound familiar?). It begins when Sakura's heart disappears scattering its feathers to different dimensions... Now, Syaoran sets out to retrieve the feathers, while two other travellers join the group, Kurogane, a ninja, and Fye D. Flowright, a wizard. As they travel across worlds, a mysterious force is out to gain control of the feathers as well... As you may have noticed, this anime also has characters from other anime by CLAMP like Cardcaptor Sakura, XXXHolic, and Chobits.

Characters

Sakura

She is the beloved princess of Clow Kingdom. The story begins when she loses conciousness and strange magical feathers come from her back. She loses her heart after that event. She is in love with Syaoran. She possesses a very warm smile and a kind personality. From: CCS

Syaoran

He is a young archaeologist from Clow Kingdom whose father died recently. He and Sakura are childhood friends. He also loves Sakura, that even if she forgets him, he will still help find her feathers. He has a very strong heart. From: CCS

Touya

He is the king of Clow Kingdom as well as the brother of Sakura. He always teases Sakura. He often refers to Syaoran as a "brat". He has an intimate relationship with Yukito. From: CCS



Yukito

He is the high priest of Clow World. He possesses many strange powers such as future telling and mind reading. He Touya are childhood friends. He is very kind as well as helpful to Sakura. From: CCS



Princess Tomoyo

She is the princess from the kingdom of Japan (note:different from the modern Japan). She insists on making Kurogane kill people unnecessarily, however he doesn't listen. Because of this, She sends him to the dimensional witch Yuuko as well as cursing him so that, whenever he kills someone, he will weaken in strength. From: CCS



Kurogane

He is a powerful ninja from Japan Country. After being banished from his land and cursed, he vows to return to his homeland. He gave away his most pecious possession, his sword, to Yuuko as a toll to be able to travel across dimensions with Syaoran and Fye. He is usually serious and grouchy.

Fye D. Flowright

He is a wizard from the land of Celes. He wants travel across dimensions because of a person from his land who may look for him if he wakes up. He gave away his tatoo on his back to Yuuko as a toll. As a result, he is unable to perform magic because he has vowed not to use it without his tatoo. He always seems to smile no matter what situation. He usually carries Mokona in his arms. He likes teasing Kurogane and calling him silly names.

Yuuko

She is also known as the Dimensional Witch. She runs a shop that grants the wishes of others for an equivalent price (note: Tsubasa Chronicle occurs simultaneously with XXXHolic, but from different perspectives). She gives them Mokona so that they will be able to travel across dimensions for a price. She took Kurogane's sword, Fye's Tatoo, and Sakura and Syaoran's Relationship as a toll.



Mokona Modoki

He is a strange creature given by Yuuko to them. He is very cheerful and has the ability to cross over worlds. His eyes open widely everytime he senses a nearby feather. Like Fye, he enjoys teasing Kurogane. As a result, the two are always arguing.
