Useful Medical Sites

If you have any sites that you think are really good then email me.

Palm OS stuff

http://books.mcgraw-hill.com/medical/diagnosaurus/index.html - Diagnosaurus. A very good palm program which lists differential diagnoses for various situations. Free on simple registration!

http://www.freewarepalm.com/medical/medcalc.shtml - MedCalc, this is probably the best medical calculator for Palm OS.

Radiology

Introduction to Radiology - University of Virginia – This is a very good site, I personally found the chest radiology teaching very useful.

Surgery

http://www.learnsurgery.com/ - A very good site for surgical topics

www.surgical-tutor.org.uk – Another good site for surgery teaching

http://home.coqui.net/titolugo/handbook.htm - A very good site with information on paediatric surgery disorders that I used in on elective in India to refresh my memory.

Medicine

Liverpool Handbook of Geriatric Medicine  Very good, covers the ‘bare bones’ of geriatric medicine.

http://cim.ucdavis.edu/EyeRelease/Interface/TopFrame.htm - This a simulator of eye movements. In my opinion, amazing! Very useful for those of you on neurology attachments.

http://www.ecglibrary.com/ecghome.html - You’ve read, “The ECG made easy.” Now you need to see some good examples of ECG abnormalities, this is the site for you. Made by the authors of “The ECG in practice.”

Psychiatry

http://www.trickcyclists.co.uk/ - A very good site when one needs to revise quickly for clinical examinations in psychiatry.

http://www.chovil.com/ - A site written about the experiences of schizophrenia, rather interesting.
