Alaska Volcano Observatory   maintained by the USGS
Cascade Volcano Observatory The Cascades Volcano Observatory, maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), covers the volcanic activity of the Cascade Range in the northwestern portion of the US.
Hawaii Center for Volcanology is an excellent source of information on volcanic activity along the Hawaiian Island chain.
Virutally Hawaii , maintained by the University of Hawaii, the site contains virtual trips to the Hawaiian Islands.  However, the site became static on September 1, 1999.  It will remain on line for as long as possible.
Michigan Tech University Volcano Page --  Michigan Tech's Volcanoes Page aims to provide information about  volcanoes to the public. Amongst these pages you will find information about current worldwide volcanic activity, research in remote sensing of volcanoes and their eruptive products, hazard mitigation, links to government agencies and research institutions, and even some volcano humor.
Smithsonian Institution�s Global Volcanism Program (GVP) seeks better understanding of all volcanoes through documenting their eruptions--small as well as large--during the past 10,000 years.

University of North Dakota This site is both educational and humorous concerning anything volcanic. The site provides up-to-date reports on volcanic activity around the world.  There are photographs taken from space and ground level.  There�s even a section  titled �Ask the Volcanologist�.  Updated at least weekly.
Volcanic Geologic Hazards   Scientists who study volcanoes say that while asteroids get all the press -- wiping out dinosaurs is good for your image -- volcanoes pose a more immediate and constant threat to people around the world.
