Ocean Planet: Fact-sheet  Click on the map or list and find info on the Artic, Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. You can also visit the Ocean Planet Exhibition as it was presented at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History.  
Oceanographer of the Navy   The Office of the Oceanographer of the US Navy is a world-wide research and operational agency on the Chief of Naval Operations staff, whose mission is to collect, analyze, database, and then distribute the oceanographic and meteorological information needed by every ship and aircraft in the United States Navy in order to operate safely and efficiently on, under, and over the world's oceans.  I did a seaerch for info on the Pacific Ocean and  Atlantic Ocean. Oceanography, a NASA website
National Marine and Coastal Geology Program (USGS): consists of the (1) the
Western Region Coastal and Marine Geology Center (see their Table of Contents, too)  and (2) the Atlantic Marine Center and (3) the Coastal   These are USGS sites covering environental issues, resources, natural hazards and more.
School of Ocean & Earth Science & Technology (SOEST) is a multi-disciplinary school within the University of Hawaii, consisting of a variety of institutes, departments, and other units conducting research and teaching about Earth and the other planets.
