North Africa Research Group Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, England. The North Africa Research Group (NARG) conducts multi-disciplinary basin analysis research with a petroleum geoscience theme in Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Libya and Tunisia. The research includes projects with integrated sedimentology, geochemistry, seismic interpretation, petrophysics and reservoir engineering.

Latin America and the Caribbean
Tectonic Analysis Ltd. a commercial site, but offers helpful information for those working in South America and the Caribbean. Northern and Central South America they offer summaries of regional geology,
tectonics and basin evolution. They also have non-exclusive reports, field-trips and in-house shortcourses; and links to tectonic and geologic resources and data for those working in the South America and Caribbean regions.
Venezuela
GENERAL INFORMATION:
A basic road map of Venezuela (1993). Moving to Venezuela or just interested in knowing something of the country. These are general sites about Venezuela: Escape Artist.com and Exploratorium. Then there is this general site in Spanish. Lonely Planet's Venezuela site is a good resource for general information on the Venezuela's attractions and travel tips. Also contains information on Venezuela's history as well as cultural and social background. However, the economic and population data seems a bit dated. The information differs from that published on the internet by the US State Department 1999 Human Rights Report on Venezuela and the Economic and Social Database InterAmerican Development Bank . The British Council also has a web site with useful information on Venezuela. A lot of good general information (in Spanish) can also be found at the web site called Escenarios. It contains information on art and culture, entertainment, science and nature, travel and tourism. And we cannot forget this city guide. Select from a few cities in Venezuela to learn more about them�Caracas, Merida, Valencia, and the island of Margarita. Also available are links about the cuisine and culture of Venezuela. Art and artists of Venezuela: Ok, this site has nothing to do with geology (although some sculptors do use rock for their work), it is a really nice site about Venezuela art and artists.

Atlas Digital de Venezuela a Petr�leos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA) web site. This site is currently unavailable outside of PDVSA, but perhaps I can find a public access addrress. In the meantime, I have left the reference here.
Codigo Estratigr�fico de las Cuencas Petroleras de Venezuela. This web site in Spanish, courtesy of Petr�leos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), the national petroleum company of Venezuela, provides stratigraphic and structural glossaries, geological museum, stratigraphic charts by basin (Tablas de Correlaci�n), and much more. Lately, I have had problems connecting with this site, even within PDVSA itself, but the site appears to be working now.
Earth Satellite Corporation's home page has mucb information including geology, environment, flooding, etc. Each section (or subpage) of the Geology link has reference to different parts of the world, including Latin America.
