Jerry was Andrew J. Forest's side man (base guitar and washboard) for the 1996 Sherbrooke en Blues Festival.

In the documentary he describes how the black slaves were forbidden to own or play their traditional drums and replaced them with the "call n'response" method of communication which was the beginning of the Blues music form.
