IS IT TRUE THAT YOU SPLIT UP A WHILE BACK?

Not at all. it was just a rumour going around at the time

YOU'VE RELEASED ENDLESS LP's/7" AND ARE REGARDED AS THIS COUNTRIES FINEST GARAGE/PSYCHE BAND, DO YOU THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE MAINSTREAM RECOGNITION?

To get more fame outside of the garage scene we would obviously have to go mainstream, which isn't something we're about to do. Idealy we would like to have more notice taken of what we do, because we think we have an appeal outside of the (60's) scene. We don't think it's essential to into the 60's to like it.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT ALL THESE MOCK 60's BANDS (Kula Shaker, Ocean Colour Scene) STEELING YOUR LIMELIGHT?

Good Luck to them. Ask us again in five years time!

IS IT CORRECT YOU USED TO HAVE THE ORGAN PLAYER FROM KULA SHAKER WITHIN THE GROUP?

Yes. Mole and Martin used to play in a band called The Sheds and Jay was on his organ. We're still friends.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE STATE OF THE MUSIC IN BRITAIN AT THE MOMENT?

Slight improvement from ten years ago. At least bands are now playing their own instruments and writing their own songs. None of us are really interested in what goes on in the music press.

DO YOU CONSIDER YOURSELVES TO BE 60's PURISTS?

We write what comes to us naturally and play the only way we know. But, as far as sound goes we might be called purists. We're not bothered about 60's furniture, lingerie, food and other such accessories. The music is more important.

DO YOU DRAW MORE FROM FOLK-ROCK THAN YOU DO FROM GARAGE?

Yes. Probably more so now, since we've learnt to play and sing better.

DO YOU CONSIDER YOUR IMAGE TO BE AS IMPORTANT AS YOUR MUSIC?

No!

IS THE DETOUR DEAL FOR MORE THAN JUST THE ONE 7"?

It is for two 7" so far. We would like to do more with them if they want. We like working with them.

ARE YOU STILL WITH TWIST?

No.

WHAT WAS IT LIKE WORKING FOR THEM?

It was good to start with, but we out grew them as our ideas became more complex and neede more backing.

We all have input in it

WHAT FUTURE PLANS DO YOU HAVE?

Another 7", hopefully soon on Detour Records, called 'Contrasts' and at present we are wrighting new material for another album, hopefully for next year.
