Lessons
Lessons are available on a limited basis on our horses or yours, in
English riding- hunt seat and dressage. Riders are taught correct position
as well as the why behind what they do. Exercises, patterns, basic
dressage tests, and obstacles make learning interesting and fun.
Instruction covers the technical aspects of rider position, dressage
basics to help the horse become more balanced and athletic, and the psychology
of riding. Private lessons and small groups are available. Helmets are required.
Instructor: Nancey Brackett received a BS and MS in Animal Science
from the University of Connecticut and has taught riding for over 20
years. "It doesn't matter if you want to trail ride, show, event,
do dressage, or barrel race, we all want the same thing- safety, control, balance,
good movement and a special relationship with our horses.".
