Human Rights Complaints

If you're harassed in an agency or business run or regulated by the federal government (like banks, airlines or the CBC), you can complain to the Canadian Human Rights Commission.
If it happens in a place or a situation regulated by the provincial government (like in a bar, on a city bus, or at MUN), go to the Newfoundland Human Rights Commission.
Human Rights Commissions can help by just talking to the people involved, or they can formally investigate your complaint.
You'll need to give the investigator as much evidence as possible. So it's a good idea, if you think you might make a complaint, to write down all of the details of every incident of harassment as soon as you can.
The more notes, the better -- even if something seems minor at the time.
Also, list all possible witnesses to the harassment: anyone who saw or heard the incident, or heard about it from someone else, or anyone who's been similarly harassed.
