This is a book for queers -- the shortest term I can think of that includes all of us.
This is a book for anyone who needs it.
This isn't a Guide to Being Queer, aimed at packing each of us into some official l/b/g/t mold.
There's no timeline for coming out, no surefire scripts for "real" queer romances,
no snappy comebacks guaranteed to vanquish homophobia with flair,
no recipes for the "right" wardrobe, haircut, house-pet or soundtrack for your identity.
What you can get from this guide is information and resources for being yourself at MUN.
Whether that means working out your own identity, seeking out friendly spaces and services,
fighting back against homophobes or just putting a little more queer content in your life,
I hope that the stories and contacts in this book will help you make useful connections.
Because you're already real.
And far from alone.
This web site contains excerpts from that Guide.
