Nobody played right field like Roberto Clemente.  He played the way the game should have been played.  His batting average was more than 300.

In 1971, Roberto said, "If you guys get me to the World Series, I'll win it."  Thanks to Roberto, Pittsburgh won it.

In 1972, during the Pirates' last home stand, at his second at-bat, Roberto reached his 3,000th hit.

Roberto's life ended tragically in 1972, when his plane went down during a relief flight to earthquake victims in Nicaragua.  His body was never found.

Roberto Clemente will always remain in the hearts of his fans.

Thank you, Roberto, for the wonderful memories.
