JUST WALKING
Paul wrote a letter to the Saints in the city of Corinth. In the 15th chapter he uses a Greek term that is only used once in all of the Greek Text of the New
Testament. It is the term “RHIPE”. It is the term we see translated “the twinkling” as in an extremely short period of time. Now it is in this area of 1
Corinthians where Paul gives us the first of two places in scripture which speaks of a “set time”. The second is in 1 Thessalonians where we find the Greek
term “HARPEZO”, to be “CAUGHT UP”.
To most of you who have studied the WORD OF GOD, you will know that it is in both of these chapters where you will find the scriptures where the RAPTURE THEORY comes forth. Most who contend with the “DOCTRINE” of “THE RAPTURE” give no alternative meaning or interpretation of what Paul is talking about. Do not be deceived, Paul is definitively speaking of the same explicit event. A very exact and explicit event, THE RETURN OF THE MESSIAH.
While RHIPE appears only once, HARPEZO appears several times in scripture. The first time is in Mat 11:12. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the
kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Only HARPEZO does not appear once, it appears twice. In the Greek you will find “harpezo
auto harpezo”. “TAKE it by FORCE”. Now if you dare to look up the term “THE VIOLENT”, you will find a one time term like RHIPE, BIASTES.
Now ponder this last point. THE FINAL TIME we find HARPEZO is in Revelation 12:5 when THE MANCHILD who wields the ROD OF IRON is “CAUGHT UP” unto GOD, and to his throne. THE THRONE here is THE THRONE OF DAVID....but that still is a slightly future event.
This past month has been a month of sudden and violent events in my life. Many who read this are also going through “changes”. My prayers for all of you are that
the changes that you require are neither as rapid or as violent as I have “enjoyed”.
Earlier this week THE LAMB hinted to me to go back to “the start”. To me and in my “walk with THE LORD”, this would be Psalm 1 verse 1..... “Blessed is the
man”...and we can stop right there. We have a definitive declaration coming of one DAVID. He is talking about something that has taken him many miles
and many trials to learn. “Blessed is the man that does not walk in the counsel of the “UNGODLY”. Now this is only the start of the first verse.
David is saying do not walk with, join with, all who are NOT OF GOD. It makes perfect sense if you think on it. In Mat 11 we find THE LORD’S WORDS...”Come unto me, all of you who labor and are heavy burdened, and I WILL GIVE YOU REST. Take MY YOKE upon you, and LEARN
OF ME; for I AM MEEK and LONELY IN HEART; and you shall find REST FOR YOUR SOULS. FOR MY YOKE IS EASY...AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHT”.
But how many church goers really believe HIS WORDS and have taken HIM up on HIS OFFER? Now if you have studied scripture you will have tripped over Isaiah 30:15 somewhere along the line. For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
Salvation is only for those who enter HIS REST. When the wealthy young man asked about eternal life the final step was to “PICK UP YOUR CROSS AND FOLLOW ME”. Now here JESUS is called THE GOOD TEACHER. King David speaks of HIM as THE GOOD SHEPHERD, and JESUS accepts
the title. As THE GOOD SHEPHERD, we are told. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life: and they shall
never perish, neither shall any (man) pluck them out of MY HAND. So the so called secret is in “walking”....following JESUS....and carrying “your”
cross. So King David has it right there in 1:1...BLESSED IS THE MAN.
But it is the start....not the finish. Ask Abram....THE MOST HIGH GOD says ”I AM THE ALMIGHTY GOD, WALK BEFORE ME AND BE THOUGH PERFECT.” At which point GOD does two things, HE ESTABLISHES COVENANT AND GIVES ABRAM A NEW NAME. Which is where we should be.
Now Micah says it nicely in the form of a question if you care to look...”HE hath shewed thee, o man, what is good: and what doth THE LORD require of thee, but
to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with THY GOD?”.
Those of us in covenant with THE LORD JESUS CHRIST are finding ourselves in the process of being changed and sent out before HIM. For years we have heard many discuss the “coming” APOSTOLIC ORDER. But with all the talk, what has been lacking is THE WALK. The HARLET CHURCH abounds with PASTOR/INSTRUCTORS who read off the instruction manual but are utterly unable to share “THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD” because they do not WALK IT OUT. And that is a pity.
Now I could say, “but why me LORD?”, but I do know why. It all comes down to miles of road traveled walking WITH MY SHEPHERD. Now it is time to be sent ahead of MY KING, THE BRIDEGROOM.
Now THE HARLET CHURCH has it’s own definitions for the duties of THE OFFICES. About 10 years ago the average “pastor” in what we think of as “spirit filled” circles started to call themselves “prophets” and many have further evolved into “apostles”. The only problem is that when you scrape under their “new paint job” you will still find a NICOLAOTIN. In ABBA’S HOUSE there is only ONE LORD, ONE MASTER. Everyone else is either a SERVANT or a STEWARD. ABBA has a BANQUET PREPARED and HE IS SENDING OUT HIS SERVANTS. Actually HE is sending a WAVE of servants, the first of several waves. I just happen to be on the crest of the first one....KAWA BUNGA YA’ll. My job is to TEACH the HARD and the DARK WORDS to those who need it.
So consider this the first of many lessons most do not want to hear. If you do not HEAR HIS VOICE, if you are UNAWARE of HIS PRESENCE, if you are not actively FOLLOWING HIM or WALKING WITH HIM you can not enter HIS REST. And if you fail to find HIS REST you are a GOAT. Now if you are saying, “Gee I am just not sure....”....STOP IT. Either you are a SHEEP and both HEAR and FOLLOW...or you are either a GOAT or a WOLF.
So ask yourselves....TIME RUNS OUT ALL TOO SOON.
