THE UNNAMED MYSTERY
While 2Thes2:7 prominently declares
"THE MYSTERY OF INIQUITY", Paul puts no label to the "mystery"
of 1Cr:15:51. But the KEY to it all may be verse 50. Now we all know the DIVINE
ATTRIBUTES, yet we really do not comprehend their fullness until we are in communion
with THE MOST HIGH. While "THE CHURCH" has been taught the actions
of SALVATION and JUSTIFICATION, MERCY, GRACE, and FAVOR; we seldom consider the
rational of "change". So let us look at the verses in issue. 1Cr 15:50
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the
You see "changed" is used two times here. Paul says "all shall
be changed". It is a requirement. To
understand what Paul alludes to we can look at places we see where he "speaks
of" the image of "CHANGE(D)". And maybe
find some mystery unmentioned. A conundrum of translation, so to speak.
Cr 3:10 For even that which was made glorious had no
glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
2Cr 3:11 For if that which is done away [was] glorious, much more that which remaineth [is]
glorious.
2Cr 3:12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
2Cr 3:13 And not as Moses, [which] put a veil over his face, that the children
of Israel could not
steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
2Cr 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth
the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which [veil] is
done away in Christ.
2Cr 3:15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.
2Cr 3:16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken
away.
2Cr 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there
[is] liberty.
2Cr 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord,
are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of
the Lord.
Again we see the English term "changed" in relation to THE GLORY OF
GOD. To show us the fullness of this image Paul speaks of MOSES and the need for
THE VEIL. So man always needs THE VAIL...unless something happens. Let's try another
one...but from a different angle...and where everyone should be familiar.
Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed
from faith to faith: as it is written, The
just shall live by faith. Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath
shewed [it] unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly
seen, being
understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead;
so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither
were thankful; but vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like
to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts,
and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their
own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the
creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Now these 9 verses have a whole lot of meat, if you can see it. Verse 17 gives
us "THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH", which has long been popular. We have
heard it preached and alluded to millions of times...yet seldom do the Nicolaotins
follow up with verse 18... where THE WRATH OF GOD is
revealed. Given to us from HEAVEN, from THE THRONE, and it is specifically for
those who as Paul puts it..."who hold the truth in unrighteousness;".
That alone should create several lengthy threads... but we shall see. Verse 19
only makes it better,
because those who hold onto their unrighteousness have been shown by GOD their
unrighteousness. And then we have verse 20... Rom 1:20 For the invisible things
of him from the
creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are
made, [even] his
eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
and verse 21....
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified
[him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations,
and their foolish heart was darkened.
Those that hold onto their unrighteousness are, as Paul puts it, "WITHOUT
EXCUSE". Paul shows how this is. They "knew" GOD but would not
give HIM THE GLORY THAT IS HIS DUE. Paul says that they are unthankful. He states
that their hearts are darkened and have yielded themselves over to what he calls
"vain imaginations.
So far Paul is leading up to something big....
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Remember what DAVID has taught us? The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, [there is] none that doeth good. (personally i like this line from SOLOMON...
Pro 28:26 He that trusteth in his
own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall
be delivered."
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like
to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts,
and creeping things. Who "changed" what? Those who
hold on to their unrighteousness. Those whose hearts
are darkened. Those who build their houses on vain imaginations.
And what were they trying to change? That is the key. And we will get back to
it...
Amen.
YES! AMEN! Those who ignore GOD'S TRUTH and NATURE to teach
of a FALSE CHRIST...a FAKE MESSIAH. Doctrines of MEN
and DEMONS.
Like 1Cr, Romans used the term "changed" twice. And they all come from
the same greek term..."allasso".
So THE MYSTERY unnamed deals with "changes". But so does Romans...changes
instituted by "the enemy". On the other hand, Paul did not use "allasso"
in 2Cr 3:18. Here you find another term, very differant
from "allasso"..... "metamorphoo"....yes you caught it... CHANGE verses
METAMORPHYSIS.
But in basic KJV they seem to be the same...but are not. As awesome as 1Cr 15:51&52
appear to be, why did not Paul use "metamorphoo"?
As i said in my first posting, anyone who wants to stand
firm on what man has told them without studying it themselves, is missing a whole
lot that revolves around THE DAY OF THE LORD and THE THIEF IN THE NIGHT. Once
you got them down pat THE MYSTERY OF INIQUITY makes perfect sense.
So people, let's go back...
1Cr 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the
1Cr 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not
all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Cr 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall
be changed.
Getting all hot and bothered about THE RAPTURE is pointless without understanding
the ISSUES of VERSE 50.
on that i want everyone to
"selah"...to pause and ponder...
