LION OF ZION XXII

WAITING WITH THE LION

I was standing on a high, windswept plain. There were early summer grasses with lush heads of seeds at my feet. A few wildflowers were dotted among the grasses. The wind was gently blowing, a crisp wind like one finds in high places. It felt like early summer mountain winds, above tree line winds. The smells were those of the mountains, too. There were no trees in sight, only grasses and flowers and mountain breezes.

I was wearing the same long flowing dress I had worn in LION OF ZION # 21. My left hand was holding onto the handle of a halter that was worn by my favorite LION. The only difference between this vision and my last vision, was that this time I had no blindfold, and my right hand was free of the white cane.

The LION was striding, and I was holding onto the handle as tightly as I was able. I did not, under any circumstances, want to lose hold of my LION. So I was jogging along side HIM, holding tightly.

Up ahead a beautiful light appeared. It was golden, and softly shimmering. It appeared that the LION was striding towards this light.

An intense desire rose up within me to drop hold of the halter and run into the light. I knew that this is what I would have done before last week’s vision. This time I was not going to let go!!!! I WAS NOT GOING TO GO FORWARD ON MY OWN IN MY OWN STRENGTH! NOT WITHOUT MY LION! NO WAY!!!!!

When we were about 100 feet away, the LION laid down and began to clean HIMSELF.

I couldn’t believe it! We were so close to the light, and HE was licking HIMSELF, cleaning HIMSELF!! I watched the light. I longed for the LIGHT! But I did not leave HIS side.

I sat down beside HIM, my eyes watching the light. It became more and more brilliant as it slowly began moving towards us. My LION continued to groom HIMSELF as the light approached. When the light was about 30 feet from us, it halted.

My gaze roamed from the LION to the light, back and forth, back and forth. The LION finished grooming HIMSELF, stretched and laid down to rest. And so I did what any reasonable lover of the LION would do, I reclined against my friend, and waited with HIM.
