This new author found an immediate following among vampire fans and we eagerly await each new book she has published. These books differ from the typical vampire stores in that the Carpathian people are not true vampires although they do need to drink blood to survive. Only if they fail to find their life mate are they tempted to kill their victims which does turn them into truly evil vampires. Carpathian males without a life mate loose their ability to see color and feel emotions which drives the weaker among them to become vampires so they can feel again, even if it also turns them into cold blooded killers. A few select human females are born with a psychic ability and very rare blood type which makes them compatible with the Carpathian males and under the right conditions they can become their life mates. These books are not for the faint of heart as they are highly graphic--some might call them "gory'.
