Formerly known as the only kid in the band who knew how to play his instrument, but now we've got Chet. He never eats anything unless he's stoned. Nobody really knows why. He just doesn't. He was the last one to join the band and he's more or less an atheist. He plays soccer (nerd), reads all kinds of books about politics, philosophy, quantum physics, etc (nerd), and maintains this website (nerd). He's not really Asian, but it's still a cool nickname. It's been over two years since he cut his hair, so it's a lot longer now than on all the old pics.

This poor guy just had to spend a whole school year in North Carolina with his little brother for reasons we're still not sure of. He left almost immediately after we finished the CD and didn't come back until the summer of '03. We didn't know if he was ever coming back, and we tried to find a replacement, but nobody could fill the void. We jammed with some very talented drummers, but we really needed Josh in the mix to get anything done. Anyway, Josh didn't know how to play drums when Random Hero was starting out, but is now a very competent percussionist. He also plays a little guitar. If you have seen the pics on this site yet, or you have watched the infamous Random Hero tapes, you might have an idea of how funny this kid is. It's impossible not to have fun with Josh around. Chet is one of the best young bassists this town has seen in a while. If he has nothing to do, he'll put on a Rancid CD (Matt Freeman is the best bass player in the world. Period.), press play, and play along with every single song, straight through. He's a Liggett man, and loves an ice cold Mickey's. He's seems pretty quiet, but don't turn your back on him for a second. He's been known to pour ketchup and Tabasco sauce on kids while they're sleeping. (That shit hurts if it gets in your eyes.) Don't leave him alone with a video camera either. Why? Three words: ENTER THE CHET. He and Josh actually made a 10-minute-long segment composed entirely of short clips of random things.
