Meet The Band - Pause for Thought
I guess you must be wondering why we picked the name "Pause For Thought" for our fledgling band. It started when Rasyiq asked me about what would be a good name for the band, about 4 months ago (January, I think). So I asked Yash what she thought would be a nice name.
So we hacked around a bit with it, tossing names back and forth. Then well, I sort of realised that well, just thinking about the band made us pause to think. So, there it came, Pause for Thought. Actually, on a deeper level, we're hoping that if we ever get to make our own music one day, people will stop and think of what we write about and sing, making our own little mark in the world.
We have nine band members, in all. For the vocalists, we have me (haha), Rasyiq, Eizah and Mas. Adi is on lead guitar and back-up vocals, Ameer plays rhythm guitar and is our back-up lead. Aspa plays bass, with Didi as back-up. Didi also plays a role as a back-up vocalist. Jenk is our drummer.
Jenk is a relatively new member, since our original drummer, Afik, left Kuching to study for his A-Levels at Sunway College in Petaling Jaya. The above picture was taken during our recent performance at the Sarawak Chatters Community gathering held at the Harbour View Hotel, Kuching. It was our first ever public performance, and will forever live in all our memories. (= Here's to hoping we'll have alot more.
