UMBC Field Hockey won for the first time since re-entering Division I play last year.

I went to the Incubus show in Philly with Bo and LJ. Instead of my name, that of my co-worker's (same first name) was on the Sony Records list. However, from past experience, I brought an e-mail and proved that I was the one supposed to come. We got 2 tickets, but no passes. LJ got in the venue anyway (of course), and I also got to sneak one picture of the wonderful Brandon Boyd with my zoom lens. We hung around afterwards because the show ended early, and I met Markku and Douglas from Hoobastank (opening band). Kinda weird how Douglas dresses, sounds, and looks like Brandon...

The delay in updates was due to the fact that I felt I shouldn't 'celebrate' anything due to the tragic events of 9-11.
I was told that I'd have 2 tickets and credentials for the Incubus show at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, PA on 092101.

Hung out with Switched at their hotel.
September 9, 2001
-Chilled with JayCee in her new car... stopped by UMBC to see Men's Soccer, but they lost =(
-F: the opposite of 'Joe Rough-hands' =)
-Picked up LJ, went to Jaxx to see Darwin's Waiting Room, Nonpoint, and our friends Switched, but the show was canceled. However, being persistent got us an interview with Reveilly (the only band who was left there) and we got to chill in their bus for a while. After a lot of thinking, we managed to call people and find out how to get in touch with Switched (calls to Missouri and Ohio). We finally got through to Switched, who told us which hotel they'd be staying in for the next two days. =)
-Went to ESPN Zone and JC hooked us up with loaded playing cards and food. =)
-Went to LJ's to plan tomorrow's schedule (visiting Switched); called Dusty (*GC*). He told us where he was too... pretty cool.
-Oh yeah, today, I found out that when we went to the PieTasters show at the 9:30 Club, in the middle of their set, Sean said: "This song is for Roxanne and LJ. I don't see them in the balcony, but they must be in the crowd having fun." That there, deserves not only a 'rocks' \m/, but the shocker \n//.
*all this ROXstar stuff was pretty cool, but somehow, the simple things are the best and the highlight of my day was the second thing listed up there... too bad most of you don't get it though!

-Got a little e-mail today that went something like this:
You will have two tickets, 1 photo pass and two meet & greet (backstage passes) at the box office. The Publicist is asking if you'd be interested in doing a preshow...any interest?* F D P !!! *

Skate day at MSS... It was so crowded that there was nowhere to sit or stand, and I had to 'work my magic.' Matt Dove saw me ("Hey Roxanne!") so I asked for a VIP pass to sit in the shaded area. He told me to go and tell the people that I was 'friends and family,' but they needed verification, so I had to ask freakin' Bucky Lasek to vouch. HAHAHA! Yeah, so he did and Greg and I got to sit up top with a view of both the street and vert.
Later, Bucky signed 3 pics for me, while Matt won first in Best Trick (AGAIN). After medal presentation, I went up to Matt to say thanks and bye, and he signed one of my pictures and introduced me to his mom. HAHA! What a funny day! (Reminiscent of talking to Bam Margera's mom at Woodward...)
*Props to Baltimore's Matt Dove and Bucky Lasek!
*Props to Mike Mussina for going perfect in 8 2/3 innings (and 2 strikes) before giving up a hit. You're still perfect in my book!

...and I thought it was gonna be a bad day...
I went to MSS at White Marsh today, hoping I could see Rick Thorne and snap some BMX pictures. He wasn't there. However, Kevin Robinson, who was signing autographs, was. I finally decided to approach and ask Kevin to sign my Yoohoo! postcard. (You think I'd remember to bring some type of cool BMX memorabilia, but NO... I'm a dork.) Anyway, we talked and he said, "Yeah, I recognize you. I've seen you before." HE said that to ME. Not the other way around - the normal way. Well, I watched Vert Best Trick and Kevin won 1st place.
Right after, skaters came to practice, including Matt Dove. Surprisingly, he saw me and waved. He brought me to the all-access area and we got to talk for a while. Yeah, okay, that's all. Bye.
