| I am 26 years old now. I think about updating this whole site all the time, but I really just don't have the time. I try to keep my email address current, at least. OK, so for the update: Andrew and I divorced in 2003, on very good terms. We decided to get a divorce, because when we both became healthy and looked at eachother, we realized we didn't even know eachother. We just weren't meant to be. We share joint custody of the girls and we continue to stay friends. He has completed a drug and alcohol inpatient program and has been sober ever since. He is now remarried. Shantal is now 11 years old. She prefers to be called Alexis. She is on the honor roll in school, and she is in band. She plays the violin. She is very musical. She loves to sing and dance. I think it is her way of expression. I am very proud of the beautiful, smart young woman she is turning into. Mercedes is 5 years old now. She just started kindergarten. She is a tomboy. She loves football, spiderman, and wearing backwards hats! She is so pretty, but won't dare let me put her hair in pretty pigtails or wear a dress! Jeans and t-shirts is all she will wear! She is in the gifted and talented program at her elementary school and I am very proud of her also! I have also remarried. Don and I married shortly after my divorce. Don is the husband I have always wanted. He is hard-working and loyal and caring and kind. We have a 1 year old son, named Dominic, and I am expecting my 4th child in April/2006! My insurance agency is thriving. I am currently in the top 2 percent of agents in the country! I always wanted to be successful and I imagined the day when I would get here, but to actually be here is like a dream! I am still very devout in my Christianity and I truly believe that it is God that has helped me get here. This is such a testimony for a girl who comes from such a troubled past.
