teengirl: yeah..but it will

me: You don't know it will be healthy for sure..

teengirl: I hope it wil.

me: Yeah, I hoped mine would be too. What if it isn't? Are you really prepared for anything?

teengirl: yeah anything.

me: I had to stop working to take care of her because she couldn't go to daycare. What if you can't work? Can he support all three of you? do you have a place to live? Have you added up expenses?

teengirl: not yet.

me: rent? electricity? water? food? diapers? wipes? clothes? shampoo? soap? laundry soap?

teengirl: ok, I get the point. lol

me: Good..go to the stores and see how much all those things cost.

teengirl: I am. I saw baby clothes. They are so cute.

me:  They aren't cheap though.  Can he afford to buy all those things on his income?

teengirl: Yeah and mine.

me: Yes, but what if you can't work because your baby is sick? I thought you were prepared for anything?

teengirl: I am lol

me: we struggle.

teengirl: money  lol My mom will always be there.

me: I am glad I have my mom too, but I don't want to depend on her and it is not her responsibility anyway.

teengirl: yeah true.

me: Ok, you want to talk about responsiblity other than money? money is not all of it.

teengirl: yeah I know that.

me: What if your boyfriend leaves you. Your not married. you don't have a real legal commitment. Can you emotionally provide support for the baby?  I know you say he won't, but what if?

teengirl: he won't. lol I know this.

me: but remember your supposed to be prepared for anything right? Can you do it all by yourself if your baby is sick and you can't work? Or will your mom have to support you?

teengirl: Yeah I can. I have back up plans.

me: see all this stuff seems rare to you, but it all happened to me.

teengirl: really? you?

me: yes. really. my hubby left me and my daughter was born with Cerebral Palsy and we were in the hospital more than ten times in the 1st year of her life and I couldn't work.

teengirl: wow.

me: And because I owned a car, welfare wouldn't help me.

teengirl: .But your doing good now, right? your making it.

me: Well we do eat everyday, but it is not healthy for Shantal to have been through everything she has.

me: sometimes I wish I never would have gotten pregnant so young, not because I don't love her, but because she doesn't deserve this. No child does.

teengirl: but she has a good life now, right?

me: well, experts say a child develops 90 percent of thier personality before 5 years old. Her life was hell before then.

teengirl: really? I never knew that.

me: Would you want YOU for parents?

teengirl: umm..yeah  lol

me: take a real good look at you and your boyfriend. Are you stable enough to provide a loving healthy controled environment for a child?

teengirl: yes. we have planned a little.

me: What exactly do you have to off

teengirl: love, food, clothing shelter, everything it needs.

me: Why do you want a baby now?
