All Killer No Filler

Sum 41

This is Sum 41's first album, All killer
no Filler - nice title that - doesn't 
quite live up to it's name, but it comes 
close. This catchy album includes several
pure punk songs that blast through your 
speakers accompanied by the twin voioces 
of vocalists 'Bizzy D' and 'Brown Sound'
On top of that, they seem to conform to 
a growing trend in punk to elude to old
school metal, either throwing in 'metal
style' riffs here and there, to the video
for 'Pain for Pleasure', one of the albums 
more unfortunate songs, sees the band 
members parodying the dress style of 
classic 80's metal.

Fat Lip is a catchy song that will 
probably gain the band mainstream 
attention, its opening riff, accompanied 
by a chorus catchy enough to be a hit, 
will probably see it overplayed on Mtv as 
their executives seek a 'balence' The 
album also has some other great tracks, 
Heart Attack, an ode to sleeping late, may
be lyrically lame, but its a great punk 
tune. Motivation, In Too Deep, and Rythems
are other gems, this album may not quite 
beAll killer no Filler, but it certainly 
has some good songs.
