Vanished Innocence

Young girl,
so beautiful and bright,
an amazing little person,
so full of hope and light.

Once here, now gone,
with only me to carry on,
oh where did you go,
you left me here,
to be alone,

vanished innocence,
left with only bitter remains,
the cruel and heartless world,
causing so much change,
in one little girl,
full of hope and joy,

love turned into hate,
lost innocence leaving shame,
her and me,
hard to believe,
that her death,
brought my life.
