surrender to darkness

A goodbye to my sunshine
a hello to my pain,
a tear for my hope,
which has washed down the drain,

a welcome to darkness,
which has clouded in, 
rendering me helpless,
a farewell kiss to love,
which has flown from my side,
like its symbol the dove,

my last tear falls,
for I have none left to cry,
I answer no calls,
all that’s left is to die.

I lie here alone,
for my future has been shown,
it consists of pain, lies and deceit,
so I lie here in emotional defeat.
