Epilogue
Draco
Malfoy has spent the last twenty years of his life using his Esper powers to
fight the forces of evil... and not once has he come up against something that
he could not beat.
Today,
during a trip to
On one
of the smaller streets of
Draco
approaches him...
He
looks older... but other than that... he looks exactly like... but, it couldn’t
be...
“... Arrowny?”
The man
doesn’t respond... but Draco is sure it is him...
He
steps forward, and places his hand on the mans
shoulder... and spins him around...
“Can I
help you?!” He sounds like Arrowny... and he looks like Arrowny...
“I
thought you were dead! I thought that the X-zone... Kefka... I thought I’d
killed you.”
The man
takes a few steps back...
“You’re
starting to freak me out a little bit buddy. Maybe
you’d better rethink the whole ‘walk up to complete strangers and say you
killed’ them approach. I don’t know you... and if you
keep this up, I’m gonna call the police.”
Draco
backs off... and shakes his head...
“I’m...
sorry. You really look like somebody I knew... years ago.”
Draco
slowly turns, and walks away... just as a young girl exits the shop, carrying a
little, colourfully decorated bag holding her purchase...
“Thanks
for bringing me shopping today. I’m glad that Dad let me come... even after...”
“Saphir
wasn’t mad at you... not really. I mean, you did blow out a whole wall when you
picked up the Glaive... which he’s told you many times you’re not old enough to
do. I think he just wanted to have a chance to cool down before he talks to you
about it.”
She
nods... and looks at the retreating back of the blond man...
“Who
was that? I saw you talking to him.”
The man
looks down at her and smiles...
“That...
was Draco Malfoy.”
Her
eyes widen in shock.
“Draco
Malfoy! THE Draco Malfoy? From the
stories that you and Dad and Uncle Brad tell?”
He
shakes his head...
“Yup...
that’s him. He just stopped by to say hello, and now he’s off doing more hero
stuff.”
“Wow...”
They
start to walk up the street...
“Hey...
Uncle Ryan... when we get back, will you and Uncle Brad tell me the story about
Hogwarts again?”
Ryan
laughs...
“I
don’t think you’re dad approves of the way we tell it.”
“Well...
no, he doesn’t. When he tells it, he leaves out all the fighting... but you
guys always tell it just like it happened.”
“Your
dad’s just trying to protect you a little bit. Some day, you’re going to inheret the Glaive and the Cards from him... but he wants
you to have a nice, calm, fight to the death free childhood.”
“Yeah...
I guess...”
They
walk... her, pouting because she doesn’t get her story... him, just happy to be
alive...
