What a beautiful day yesterday was.  I just love the season of autumn.  I could live in a world that had this beautiful season all year round.  I can hardly wait for the leaves to start turning the lucious colors of fall.  WOW.  This was the main reason Charlie and I decided to marry in October.  When we went on our honeymoon to New England everything was so awesome.  I can't believe that it will soon be 36 years and we haven't killed each other yet.  I guess I need to loosen up a bit and become more and more like Charlie.  I have to keep on trying and trying.  Even if I slip back which is everyday, I just have to look ahead and hope that one day I will be able to be the person I so desperately want to be.  God has to help me!!!

Dear Lord,  Please guide me each day to do Your will.  Give me patience, do not make me bitter or nasty, let me think before I do or say something that will upset You and the ones that I love so very dearly.  Amen

Today's reading:  But as for me, how good it is to be near God!  I love your sanctuary, Lord, the place where your glory shines.  A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else!  I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked.  What joy for those You choose to bring near, those who live in Your holy courts.  What joy awaits us inside Your holy Temple.  The Lord is wonderfully good to those who wait for Him and seek Him.  The Lord still waits for you to come to Him so He can show you His love and compassion.  For the Lord is a faithful God, Blessed are those who wait for Him to help them.  And so, dear brothers and sister, we can bodly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.  This is the new, life-giving way that Christ has opened up for us through the sacred curtain, by means of His death for us.  Let us go right into the presence of God, with true hearts fully trusting Him.  For our evil consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.  Access to God, the joy of living in the Temple courts, was a great honor.  God has chosen a special group of Israelites from the tribe of Levi to serve as priests, and they were the only ones who could enter the sacred rooms where God's presence resided.  Because of Jesus' death on the cross, believers today have access to God's presence in every place and at any time.                           LAB note from Psalm 65:4
