HAPPY GRANDPARENT'S DAY!!!! Today is Hunter's first football game and I believe it will be Charley's first traveling soccer game. I will update on Monday how things went. No I am wrong about Charley's soccer game....her 1st traveling game was on Saturday in Salem. I will let you know how things went. I can't attend the game; but Charlie will give me blow by blow on what happened. Dear Lord, Please guide me each day to do Your will. Give me patience, do not make me bitter or nasty, let me think before I say or do anything that will upset You and the ones that I love so dearly. Amen. Today's reading: You are the salt of the earth. You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. For you have been born again. Your new life did not come from your earthly parents because the life they gave you will end in death. But this new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God. Those who believe it comes from the eternal, living word of God. Those who believe in Me, even though they die like everyone else, will live again. They are children of God raised up to new life. The glorious, ever-lasting God. (Those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them are not Christians at all). Since Christ lives within you, even though your body will die because of sin, your spirit is alive because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. Our earthly bodies, which die and decay, will be different when they are resurrected, for they will never die. Salt is good for seasoning. But if it loses it flavor, how do you make it salty again? You must have the qualities of salt among yourselves and live in peace with each other. If a seasoning has no flavor, it has no value. If Christians make no effort to affect the world around them, they are of little value to God. If we are too much like the world, we are worthless. Instead, we should affect others positively, just as seasoning brings out the best flavor in food. LAB note for Matthew 5:13. 2006-09-07 18:44:49 GMT
