Dear Lord, Please guide me each day to do Your will.  Give me patience, do not make me bitter or nasty, let me think before I do something that will upset You and the people that I love so dearly.  Amen

Today's reading:  The Lord is for me; He will help me.  In times of trouble, may the Lord respond to your cry.  May the God of Israel keep you safe from all harm.  May He send you help from His sanctuary and strengthen you from Jersusalem.  May we shout for joy when we hear of Your victory, flying banners to honor our God.  May the Lord answer all your prayers.  Some nations boast of their armies and weapons, but we boast in the Lord our God.  Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm.  He will come like a flood tide driven by the breath of the Lord.  Remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience.  And God is faithful.  He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it.   When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it.  If God is for us, who can ever be against us?  The Lord is for me, so I will not be afraid.  What can mere mortals do to me?  The God whom we serve is able to save us.  He will rescue us from your power.  As long as there have been armies and weapons, nations have boasted of their power, but such power does not last.  True might is in God's power.  Because God alone can preserve a nation or an individual, be sure your confidence is in God, who gives eternal victory.   LAB note for Psalm 20:6-8.
