HAPPY 85TH BIRTHDAY TO DAD!!!!  HOPE YOU HAVE WONDERFUL DAY!!!

My dad is celebrating is 85th bday today with a trip to Mountaineer.  Hopefully he will have a great day.  We are planning a small family dinner for him next week.  I'll share about it after the dinner.

Dear Lord, Please guide me each day to do Your will.  Give me patience, do not make me bitter or nasty, let me think before I say or do something that will upset You and the family that I love so dearly.  Amen.

Today's reading:  Be glad for all God is planning for you.  You are looking forward to the joys of heaven.  If we have hope in Christ only for this life, we are the most miserable people in the world.  They must enter into the Kingdom of God through many tribulations.  You cannot be my disciple if you do not carry your own cross and follow Me.  You know that such troubles are going to happen to us Christians.  Always be full of joy in the Lord.  I say it again---rejoice!!  I pray that God, who give you hope, will keep you happy and full of peace as you believe in Him.  All honor to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for it is by His boundless mercy that God has given us the privilege of being born again.  Now we live with a wonderful expectation because Jesus Christ rose again from teh dead.  You love Him even though you have never seen Him.  Though you do not see Him, you trust Him; and even now you are happy with a glorious, inexpressible joy.  Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of highest privilage where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory.  When Paul says that we look forward to the joys of heaven, He is emphasizing the security of the believer.  Because we know our future destination and salvation are sure, we are free to live for Christ and love others.  LAB note for Colossians 1:5.
