I enjoy taking photos especially of my wonderful grandchildren. My hobby has turned into part of my everyday life.
Entry for September 07, 2006

Charley and Hunter had their first day of school yesterday.  Things seemed to go pretty good for the both of them.  Charley is not so nervous any longer.  She seems to really like the 5th grade atmosphere of changing classes, etc.  Hope it continues.  Charlie and I are having a problem again with communication.  We went for a ride last evening to discuss some of the problems.  I believe we are on the right track now, but we will see.

Dear Lord, Please guide me each day to do Your will.  Give me patience that I so desperately need; do not make me bitter or nasty; let me think before I say anything that will upset You and the ones that I love so dearly.  Amen.

Those who wait on the Lord will find new strength.  When I am weak, then I am strong.  My God has given me strength.  My gracious favor is all you need.  My power works best in your weakness.  So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may work through me.  Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.  Give your burdens to the Lord, and He will take care of you, He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.  His arms were strengthened by the Mighty One of Jacob, the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel.  You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord Almighty-the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.  I will rejoice in the Lord.  I will be glad because He rescues me.  I will praise Him for the bottom of my heart: "Lord, who can compare to You?" Who else rescues the weak and helpless from the strong?"  Waiting on the Lord is the patient expectation that God will fulfill His promises in His Word and strengthen us to rise above life's difficulties.  It means to completely trust in God.  LAB note for Isaiah 40.
