Entry for August 31, 2006
What is going on I can't get a text color. I like composing my blog with various colors. Well here goes any way. Dear Lord, Please guide me each day to do Your will. Give me patience, do not make me bitter or nasty, let me think before I do anything that will upset you. Amen. Today's reading: Let us lift our hearts and hands to God in heaven. Who can be compared with the Lord our God, who is enthroned on high? Far below Him are the heavens and the earth. He stoops to look, and He lifts the poor from the dirt and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes. To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. I reach out for You. I thrist for You as parched land thirsts for rain. Come quickly, Lord, and answer me, for my depression deepens. Don't turn away from me, or I will die. Let me hear of your unfailing love to me in the morning, for I am trusting You. Show me where to walk, for I have come to You in prayer. Your unfailing love is better to me than life itself; how I praise You! I will honor you as long as I live. O Lord, for my life depends on You. O Lord, You are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask your aid. Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord; hear my urgent cry. I will call to You whenever trouble strikes, and You will answer me. If our conscience is clear, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will receive whatever we request because we obey Him and do the things that please Him. Sometimes our trouble or pain is so great that all we can do is cry out to God for protection. And ofter when there is no relief in sight, all we can do is acknowledge the greatness of God and wait for better days. The conviction that God answers prayer will sustain us in such difficult times.
