I enjoy taking photos especially of my wonderful grandchildren. My hobby has turned into part of my everyday life.
Entry for August 30, 2006

Well, we didn't make it to the Amish Bldg. place.  They were still setting up for the Canfield Fair, so we are going Thursday night instead.  Charlie and I went to the Elmton's for pizza and salad.  Delicious as always.  Then we went home and did the curio's.  What an experience.  First it was almost impossible to get the glass clean without streaks.  But after much elbow grease from Charlie we did finally succeed.  Then filling them with my precious moments and my mom's bells filled the entire 2 curio's up.  In fact I had put some of my precious moments in with her bells.  We need another curio or we should have gotten 2 bigger one.  But that chore is done and now the last of the upstairs chores is the bathroom.  Hopefully that will begin soon.

Dear Lord, Please guide me each day to do Your will.  Give me patience, do not make me bitter or nasty, let me think before I do something that will upset You. Amen.

Today's reading:  You don't understand now why I am doing it; someday you will.  Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would really obey His commands.  I made a convenant with you, says the Sovereign Lord, and you become mine.  The Lord disciplines those He loves.  Dear friends, don't be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you.  Instead, be very glad-because these trials will make you partners with Christ in His suffering, and afterward you will have the wonderful joy of sharing His glory when it is displayed to all the world.  Our present troubles are quite small and won't last very long.  Yet they produce for us an immeasurably great glory that will last forever!  So we don't look at the troubles we can see right now; rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen.  For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.  Imagine being Peter and watching Jesus was the others' feet, all the while moving closer to you.  Seeing his Master behave like a slave must have confused Peter.  He still did not understand Jesus' teaching that to be a leader, a person must be a servant.  How do you treat those who work under you?              LAB note for John 13:6-7
