Entry for August 25, 2006
Wow today is TGIF. Sure came fast. I hope the days won't go by this fast when I am retired as they go by now. Well, I did go to my baseball meeting last night. It wasn't too bad; but I am still not sure if I am going to run for treasurer next year or not. I guess I could since I will have time on my hands since I will be retired. We got a letter from Bob and MR with info about Erika's new job in Toledo, OH. She is a great young woman. Very caring about all of us even down to the youngest. She has a job working as a concept artist. I am not real sure what all that means. But, she will do a wonderful job. Dear Lord, Please guide me each day to do Your will. Give me patience, do not make me bitter or nasty, let me think before I do something that will upset You. Amen. Today's reading: Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. Wherever you walk, their counsel can lead you. When you sleep, they will protect you. When you wake up in the morning, they will light the way ahead of you. The correction of discipline is the way to life. You will hear a voice say, "This is the way, turn around and walk here." I am the light of the world. If you follow Me, you won't be stumbling through the darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life. We have.....confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. Pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a light shining in a dark place-until the day Christ appears and His brilliant light shines in your hearts. Now we see things imperfectly as in a poor mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me now. In this life we walk through a dark forest of evil. But the Bible can be our light to show us the way ahead so we won't stumble as we walk. It reveals the entrangling roots of false values and philosophies. Study the Bible so ou will be able to see your way clear enough to stay on the right path. LAB note for Psalm 119:105 2006-08-24 17:52:30 GMT
