Entry for August 23, 2006
Here we are it is hump day already. I have to be patient. It is really hard for me. One of the things that was great about our marriage was communications. For some reason it has been stagnet. But we have agreed to try and develop this back into our lives again. I don't like not sharing my inner thoughts and everything with the man that I married, so I hope that we can put our communications skills back on track. Well, that is it. Dear Lord, Please guide me each day to do Your will. Give me patience, do not make me bitter or nasty, let me think before I do something that will upset You. Amen. Today's reading: I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak His praises. I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are discouraged take heart. Come, let us tell of the Lord's greatness; let us exalt His name together. The Lord our God is our Light and Protector. He gives us grace and glory. No good thing will the Lord withhold from those who do what is right. O Lord Almighty, happy are those who trust in You. With my whole heart, I will praise His holy name. Those who have reason to be thankful should continually sing praises to the Lord. Let the Holy Spirit fill and control you. Then you will sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs amoung yourselves, making music to the Lord in your hearts. And you will always give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. Around midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God. Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again--rejoice! God promises great blessings to His people, but many of them require our active participation: We must seek Him, cry out to Him, trust Him, fear Him, reverence Him, refrain from lying, turn from evil, do good, seek peace, be brokenhearted, and serve Him. LAB note from Psalm 34:1ff. 2006-08-23 11:50:07 GMT
