I enjoy taking photos especially of my wonderful grandchildren. My hobby has turned into part of my everyday life.
Entry for August 18, 2006

TGIF!!!!  Can't believe the week has flown by.  Hopefully we will have a nice weekend because Charlie and I are planning on going on a day trip tomorrow.  Not exactly sure where and what we are going to do; but we are getting up early and going.  But, we have to be home by 5:30 to look after Santino and Alex since the other members of the Jorge gang are going to see the Steeler's play.  Charlie and I need some time alone.  Last evening Charlie was burning some of the branches, etc. from the two pines he cut down and someone called the police.  They came to the house and told him to stop.  Strange that all the neighbors around us burn, but he got turned in.  He was almost done.  My mom was out helping him.  She was still putting branches on the fire even while the police officer was walking into the back yard.  We couldn't even say we were having a wiener roast because of the pine needles.  Charlie is going to have to get his chipper out instead.  My mom asked the police officer if he was going to put her in jail.  Can you image, my mom 87 going to jail.  If they did, it would be the cleanest jail around.

Dear Lord, Please guide me each day to do Your will.  Give me patience, do not make me bitter or nasty, let me think before I do something that will upset You.  Amen.

Today reading:  Lord, You are mine!  Everything belongs to you...and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.  Jesus gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His very own people, totally committed to do what is right.  God has put all things under the authority of Christ, and He gave Him this authority for the benefit of the church.  Christ gave up His life for her (the church).  He did this to present her to Himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish.  Instead, she will be holy and without fault.  I will boast only in the Lord.  I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord, my God!  For He has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness.  Whom have I in heaven but You?  I desire You more than anything on earth.  My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever.  I said to the Lord, "You are my Master!  All the good things I have are from You."  Lord, You alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing.  You guard all that is mine.  The land You have given me is a pleasant land.  What a wonderful inheritance!  As Christians we can be confident that God has won the final victory and is in control of everything.   We need not fear any dictator or nation or even death or Satan himself.  The contract has been signed and sealed; we are waiting just a short while for delivery.                             LAB note for Ephesians 1:20-22.
