"My Best Friend"
My best friend is great, I've known her through the years. She listened to me many times, through laughter and through tears. She's like a family member, and always close at hand. She'll do anything for me, and never does she demand. We've been together through thick and thin, since our children were little tots. Now they're grown and on their own, but we're still like two dots. We never had an argument, we didn't even yell. Sometimes don't agree on things, but our friendship will never fail. We go shopping and do day trips, stopping for a bite to eat. Just spending the day together, about once a month we meet. We're a lot older now, getting on in years. We are still there for each other, in happiness and in tears. Everyone should have a friend, just like the one I've got. She's my guardian angel, and I love her a lot! by Helen Ludwick.
