Entry for August 11, 2006 ![]() TGIF......It is a shame that everyday cannot be Friday. I guess then we would not have something to look forward to. Last evening I did absolutely NOTHING and it was wonderful. Sometimes you need a relaxing evening like that. We had tomato sandwiches for summer. The tomatoes are so, so yummy. Can't seem to get enough. When my mom and dad came home from Mountaineer my dad made hot peppers with onions and garlic. He does a really good job making them. The two little ones were at the house when I got home from work. Alex is so funny and he is getting to be fun also. He loves to be held. I guess that is just like any 6 month old. Today Alex is 6 months old. God Bless him. He loves examining his hands. He touches each finger with this other hand. Alex has fantastic motor skills. He is almost ready to crawl. God Bless all of my grandchildren. They are a wonder joy in our lives. Charlie and I have been so blessed. Taken from "The One Year book of Bible Readings." I'm not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil ones. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a dark world full of crooked and perverse people. Let your lives shine brightly before them. You are the salt of the earth.....You are the light of the world. Let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. I kept you from sinning against Me. The temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptations from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it. The Lord is faithful; He will make you strong and guard you from the evil one. He died for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. And now, all glory to God, who is able to keep you from stumbling, and who will bring you into his glorious presence innocent of sin and with great joy. All glory to Him, who alone is God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Yes, glory, majesty, power, and authority belong to Him, in the beginning, now, and forever. Amen. Belief in Christ should unite those who trust Him. If your church has some members who are always complaining and arguing, it lacks the unifying power of Jesus Christ. If we stop arguing with other Christians or complaining about people and conditions within the church, the world will see Christ. LAB note for Philippians 2:14-16. 2006-08-11 12:17:20 GMT
