Today's reading:  There are different ways God works in our lives, but it is the same God who does the work through all of us.  Some men from Manasseh defected from the Israelite army and joined David.  They were all brave and able warriors who became commanders in his army.  A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a means of helping the entire church.  From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives.  All these men understood the temper of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.  To one person the Spirit gives the abiltiy to give wise advice; to another He gives the gift of special knowledge.  From the tribe of Zebulun, there were 50,000 skilled warriors.  They were fully armed and prepared for battle and completely loyal to David.  I take joy in doing Your will, my God, for Your law is written on my heart.  God made our bodies with many parts, and He has put each part just where He wants it.  If one parts suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.  One Lord, one faith, one baptism.  People are often drawn to a great cause and the brave determined people who supports it.  As believers, we have the greatest cause-the salvation of people.  If we are brave, determined, and faithful, others will be drawn to work with us.   LAB  note for 1 Chronicles 12:22.
